The story of the Sikh community in Boston
The Gurudwara Sikh Sangat Boston is a Sikh place of worship serving the Sikh community and all people of the Greater Boston area. Located at 10 Thorndike Street in Everett, MA, the Gurdwara has been a spiritual home for Sikhs and a welcoming space for all who seek to learn about Sikhi.
The Gurdwara is a living symbol of the Sikh principles of Seva (selfless service), Simran (remembrance of the Divine), and Sangat (congregation). From its humble beginnings, the Boston Sikh community has grown steadily, guided by the eternal wisdom of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
The Gurdwara serves Sikhs and non-Sikhs alike, offering Gurbani Kirtan, Langar (free community meals), and a place of peace and spiritual reflection for all who enter.
Over the years, the Boston Sikh Sangat has welcomed people from all walks of life. Weekly services draw both long-time Sikhs and newcomers curious about Gurbani and the Sikh way of life.
The Gurdwara continues to grow with an active youth program, live-streamed services on YouTube, and vibrant Langar every week. We welcome everyone — Sikh or not — to come, sit, share a meal, and experience the warmth of the Sangat.
The daily divine command from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji
Whatever pleases You, that alone is good.
You are forever imperishable, O Formless Lord.
Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji
